Dining Room Host / Hostess

OVERVIEW                                          

The Dining Room Host/Hostess is responsible for enhancing the guest experience and extending genuine hospitality within the restaurant. He or she is expected to be “on the floor” in the Dining Room the entirety of their shift, to connect face to face with guests and keep a real-time pulse on their experience.  Focusing on the Dining Room will ensure guest experience is a top priority and aligned with Chick-fil-A I-15 at Cantu Galleano Ranch Rd’s vision of being “the most caring business in Eastvale” and Chick-fil-A’s Winning Hearts Every Day (WHED) strategy. He or she must be skilled in handling stressful working conditions while prioritizing guest needs, be an effective communicator, be an excellent multi-tasker, and be able to deal with frequent interruptions calmly and decisively, to ensure restaurant Dining Room operations are running smoothly.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Genuine Hospitality

  • Ambassador for the Chick-fil-A Brand
  • Have a positive influence on all who come into contact with Chick-fil-A
  • Be passionate about hospitality
  • Anticipate guest needs
    • Perform table touch-ins
    • Offer beverage refreshments
    • Provide additional condiments, etc.
  • Provide Second Mile Service by going above and beyond guest expectations
  • Make guest connections
  • Surprise and delight guests

Clean and Safe Environment

  • Execute Operational Excellence by maintaining a clean environment (Tables, Chairs, Floors, Restrooms, Windows, Doors, Trash, etc).
  • Organize and restock all items available to guests in the dining room area

Guest Recovery 

  • Empathize and proactively engage to recover guests using Chick-fil-A’s “HEARD” Model
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all menu items
  • Restore guest satisfaction to foster and maximize loyalty

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Full-time or part-time commitment with the ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate operational needs between 24 to 40 hours per week
  • Experience working in a restaurant or in customer service preferred (ideally previous Chick-fil-A experience)
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed
